Making Customers Happy

Nearly four years ago, I launched my first business venture. I immediately learned the importance of doing everything in my power to make my customers happy. I worked hard to get products into my customers’ hands as quickly as possible. Are you an entrepreneur? Perhaps you only offer one shipping option to your clients. To grow your business, consider providing customers with multiple shipping alternatives. You might also wish to give clients a discount on shipping costs when a purchase reaches a certain monetary threshold. On this blog, I hope you will discover the most common shipping options established companies offer their customers.

Bring A Car In For A Multi-Point Inspection Before A Cross-Country Transport

Driving your car from one side of the country to another sounds like a cathartic experience. Doing so also requires hours upon hour per day for several days in a row at great cost. Maybe a decision to ship the car represents a better plan. Since all you need to do is book an auto transport service, why not turn all the responsibilities over to someone else? Be mindful that you don't transfer "all" the duties. It's still your car. You might even opt to prepare the car for a long road trip even after choosing a shipping option.

The Leak Scenario

A vehicle leaking oil, power steering, or transmission fluid isn't the type of car you want to drive on a short trip much less long ones. Since an auto shipping company moves the vehicle, why would you care about the leaks? Because if you only just noticed the leak now, consider that an indication something else might be wrong with the vehicle. During the two-week journey from the origination point to the final destination, you want the car in the same condition as it departed. Do you know the actual condition of the vehicle? Don't make assumptions about anything. Get the car checked out.

Full Inspections at Garages

Upon requesting an oil change at certain garages, a 20-point or so inspection might come with the deal. Such a minimal inspection is better than nothing, but it wouldn't hurt to request an extensive multi-point inspection. A 150-point inspection won't easily miss any mechanical problems with the vehicle. If something turns up, you can take a note of it. When no problems exist with the vehicle, you maintain documentary evidence in case something does turn out wrong once the transport completes and the vehicle arrives.

Insurance Claims and the Vehicle

Auto transportation services often provide insurance to cover damage to a vehicle during the move. The insurance coverage won't cover wear and tear. Worn brake pads or dirty motor oil obviously can't likely be blamed on the transport truck driver. What happens when an inspection shows no wear to the brakes and the vehicle arrives with severely rusted? Was the vehicle removed from the truck at some point and exposed to rising water in the street? No one can predict how the damage claim eventually settles, but documentary evidence submitted with the claim should help the cause when requesting reimbursements.
